03057- anemia panel

$179

Do you feel tired, dizziness, or headache? You could have anemia.

Anemia is a common medical condition characterized by a decrease in the amount of red blood cells or in the concentration of blood hemoglobin, resulting in a reduced capacity to transport oxygen to body tissues. The anemia panel is a set of laboratory tests designed to identify and monitor the different types of anemia, allowing precise diagnosis and proper treatment.

Our anemia panel includes a variety of tests that examine multiple aspects of their blood health, such as:

  1. Complete hemogram (CBC): This basic test provides information on red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets, including the count, size and shape of the cells. CBC results help identify anemias from different origins, such as ferropenic anemia, hemolytic anemia and megaloblastic anemia.

  2. Serum and ferritin iron: These tests measure the amount of iron in the blood and ferritin, a protein that stores iron in the body. Low iron and ferritin levels may indicate iron deficiency anemia, the most common type of anemia.

  3. Vitamin B12 and folic acid: vitamin B12 or folic acid deficiency can cause megaloblastic anemia, a type of anemia characterized by redstless red blood cells. These tests evaluate the levels of these essential vitamins in the blood and can help identify the underlying cause of anemia.

  4. Reticulocytes: Reticulocytes are young red blood cells that have not yet matured completely. The measurement of the reticulocytes count helps evaluate the response of the bone marrow to anemia and may indicate whether anemia is caused by insufficient production or excessive destruction of red blood cells.

In our clinical laboratories, we are committed to providing precise and reliable results in the anemia panel. We have advanced and personal technology highly trained to guarantee the quality and accuracy of each analysis. Our goal is to offer a comprehensive service that allows you to effectively understand and address your health needs.
